I have been on zyprexa for nearly 9 months. I have bipolar disorder & was experiencing extreme psychosis. I take 20mg a day. I have gone from a healthy weight to being obese. I have gained 15kgs & seem to be hungry all the time. I also feel very numb to my emotions. I would only reccomend taking zyprexa in situations where you are extremly unwell & no other tablets are working. I agreed to take zyprexa because my dr said i'd only need to be on it for 6 weeks. But now they want to keep me on it. This makes me extremly unhappy. I am going to argue my case with the dr at my next appointment as my weight gain is causing me to feel extremly depressed.
