STOP TAKING ZOCOR NOW.

Nine years ago my father was prescribed Zocor by a VA doctor and a few months later he began to have aches all over. He had just gotten blood work done and a urine test by the VA doctor. On Tuesday night he felt ill, tired, and thought he was coming down with something. By Friday he was feeling much worse, with aches all over especially in his back. I begged him to let me take him to the doctor. He said he would go the next morning. The next morning he called and asked me to call an ambulance. He died when he reached the hospital. He was only 66 years old. He suffered a heart attack (heart disease does not run in either side of my family). He was buried a week later and the following week another statin, Baycol was removed from the market due to 31 deaths. It was too late for an autopsy. Zocor was low on the radar for a long time after that, but now I am reading about Zocor lawsuits. I don't see commercials for it anymore either. If you experience any kind of side effects while taking Zocor, please stop using it. It could cause you serious harm. I wish I knew this when my dad became ill.
