I have been on Yasmin for a little over a year. The first eleven months, I felt like the poster women for Yasmin. My periods were manageable and my mood swings were under control. These past few months, my periods have returned to being so heavy that I cannot function. I am spotting 24/7 with a nasty disharge. My gyn wanted me to stay with the Yasmin to see if maybe stress was causing the problem. After an additional month, I know Yasmin is no longer working. I was so excited this pill seemed to work so well. I did not have the weight gain. However, I have the bloating and "thrush" (I was shocked to see that side affect on this site). I thought I was suffering from an allergic reaction to something.
I am almost 40 and if I can't find an alternative, I will be having surgery soon.
