Grand Mal Seizure
I am a 44 yr woman who has never had a seizure before in my life. I had been on generic wellbutrin for 6 weeks when last tuesday I had a grand mal at the university campus. I went to ER and had all the usual work-ups; labs for other/illicit drugs, kidney and liver function, CT of the brain, EKG--all came back normal. I have since been reading on PUBmed and Journal of American Medicine about the alarming rate at which people are suffering from these seizures from the generic wellbutrin! I am still having some memory problems and a general "fogginess" in my head. I think I am going to have to drop at least one of my classes because I am not feeling up to parr! Iam irate. Is there anyone out there who has had an experience like mine and do you think we can take legal action? This has been a terrible experience, has gotten me labeled as a seizure risk which will have implications for my future insuance! AND the fact that I am not retaining information as I was/should be and may loose the semester at A VERY EXPENSIVE UNIVERSITY!! AARRGGHH! ... more »
