My husband take 1200mg of Trileptal a day to control his seizures. This is the 3rd anticonvulsant medication he has tried and so far it's the best yet. He's been on it for about 2 years and he spaces out the 1200mgs throughout the day. He has all the side effects everyone else has but he takes 300mg before breakfast, 300mg before lunch and 600mg before bed. When he takes the meds before he eats, the food help combats the exhaustion. Hope this helps all of you. One day they will discover an anticonvulsant where the side effect won't be as crappy as the diagnosis! We can dream, right?!
