Travatan Z Night Today, Travatan, Bloodshot Eyes, Red Eyes, Nervousness
Posted over a year ago
I just started Travatan Z last night. Today, I have bloodshot eyes and a slight headache, both of which I could live with, at least for awhile. My doctor told me about the red eyes and said that they would probably go away after a few weeks of use. But I find that I am also really edgy and nervous today and, looking at the printed info from the drugstore, see that nervousness is a possible side effect.
Gracez - i started on travatan yesterday and, and my eyes were very red, and only improved very little throughout the day. i do not know if i can tolerate this side effect for long. i will try to use it till my next appt in one month and ask the doctor if there is anything else i can use if the redness does not improve by then. i also experienced a headache and stinging on one eye only though i use the drops for both eyes. if anyone has used travatan and the redness improved with continuous use, pls post. thanks.

Cynt77 - Abt 2yrs ago, I was using an eye drop for glaucoma, that I cannot remember the name of. It caused red eyes. I researched and found, on similar problems, a corticosteroid drop was used to combat the red-eye. My doctor said no, because I am also diabetic. Makeup didn't make me look cute. The red eyes stood out too far. Then, I had lazer eye surgery, due to fluid build up. Guess what doctor prescribed? Right, a corticosteroid eye drop (after surgery)! Hallelujah! My eyes cleared up, quite quickly. I was then prescribed Travatan, and taken off that other drop. Now, today, I had my first dose of Travatan Z. Red eyes, again. Funny thing, I kept that corticosteroid drop ( I wish I could remember the name) in my frig, since my surgery, and just threw it in the trash last week.
I hate that I can do nothing about my eyes till Monday!
