Singulair Heart Arrythmia, Palpitations, Shortness of Breath, Anxiety, Fda

Getting off Singulair! Been taking it for about 2 or 3 months. At 48 years of age, I've never had heart arrhythmia before. Now that I stopped taking Singulair, the palpitations have gone away and so has my anxiety about it. It also caused a generalized shortness of breath, which I had never experienced before. This can't be good.
Zsmom - Please file an adverse event report with the FDA. You will help many others by doing this. The link is available here: www.parentsforsafety.org.
Lopandia1 - Wow - I've had the same issues and am researching right now. I literally thought that I was going crazy.. felt like I couldn't catch my breath which, in turn, gave me terrible anxiety. It gets so bad that I feel like I'm going to pass out. The dr. has me on Advair and Singulair.. I think I need to have a talk with him. I cannot function like this...
Csmall - I have been taking Singular for about a month now, i have been experiencing muscle aches and joint pain like I have never had before. It actually feels like my hip joints are coming apart when I walk. Noticed a loss of equilibrium as well. Been racking my brain to figure out what i may have been eating that would cause such joint and muscle pain, you know like to much sugar, but my diet has not changed the only thing that changed was that I switched from an over the counter allergy sinus pill to Singular. Decided last night that the Singular had to be the problem. I decided to do his search, now I believe the Singular is the problem. We will see for sure in about a week or two.
Medgmdo11 - I am now 44. A few years ago, I was put on Singulair and I thought it was the Miracle Pill of the century. Finally! A pill for asthma. After a honeymoon period of about 2+ months, the symptoms overwhelmed me, freakish dreams, anxiety, feeling like my body was falling apart (I thought I was dying) and I started getting hives as well. I couldn't get off that medication fast enough. Now, my new doc has me trying Zyflo and it's been a month (similair to Singulair) and my family and I can tell I am suffering from severe agitation (go from 0 to raging anger in split second) and I am having the freakish dreams. I am soooooo disappointed. I was really hoping I could take the Zyflo. I will be seeing my doctor asap and report these symptoms and what we can do about it.
Bobcat33 - I have cronic hives and my doctor has not and could not find the cause. It all started with an agressive reaction to the Blood Pressure Med ALTACE where my face, Tongue, and feet swelled massively. He prescibed Xyzal (Zyrtec) and Singular and the swelling and hives went a way. However, I have come to realize that the side effects of Singular may be worse as I suffer from Anexity, Anxiousness, and Get Agitated easy. This has been terrible on my family and after noticing the warning label changed on prescription I started researching and found may of the same complaints. Puffy arms are better than losing a family.
Gardenlawyer7 - It seems my Blood pressure was increased by this medication. A weight gain did occur also. I just stopped taking it and I do feel better.
