Remicade Brain Damage, Dangerous Drug, Wits, Doctors, Mood Swings

Now a new side effect, I have posted other side effects that were enough to get off the remicade. I went in and had another surgery because the side effects of this drug was killing me.{see other effects I posted under Jbill} So now the Doctors are looking into Brain damage. I am going to have a MRI done to see if this is a reality, I feel as though I have lost my wits. this is not something that I came up with, it is starting to show up in others and is talked about among the doctors that treat us. I used remicade for approx 4 years and feel like it is a dangerous drug. It can work pretty good but would not take it on a regular basis. I will not take it again.

Lopi13 - I have had similar side effects only after 2 infusions, 4 years later I have severe memory loss, mood swings. I almost died after the second infusion and was rushed to the hospital with a bp 50/40 they said I would have most definately died if I had not made it to the hospital in time. I also have presence of kappa cells - precursor to myeloma and lymphoma. I stopped the drug immediately.

Braindamaged - Remicade is a dangerous drug. When you are desperate you try desperate things. Remicade substantially destroyed my mid-brain cells and caused me to have Parkinson's disease instantly at 37. One man's medicine is another man's poison. No one told me about the black label on Remicade and no one at Centicor owned up to what it can do to you mid-brain even though studies were published that throughly showed that. I am now dying a very miserable drawn out death because of Remicade. I have sat next to people that are happy and have been helped by Remicade. I also shared a room with a dying man with no immune system that helped created Remicade at a hospital I can't name for privacy purposes. You may be happy now but beware, you are being given something that can instantly change the very fabric of your DNA at any point, at any infusion without warning. We will all find this out too late as people suffering from autoimmune diseases start dropping like flys from weird and untreatable cancer as my hospital roomate did. He had an "infection" develop that was so strong it ate through his spine and spinal cord. He told me about Remicade and the money motives that trumped warning found in research. My advice would be to get off of it while you can. I know you enjoy being free of pain but there is a whole new level of suffering that Remicade can provide. Don't bash people that have had side effects that shouldn't have happened. Due diligence was done and we both still suffered greatly with our lives.

Charleebee2011 - Remicade is POISON! I can't believe I'm reading so many horrible stories and how remicade has ruined their life!! Are they ever going to pull this drug off the market? I have had 7 infusions of Rem. solely to clear up psoriasis. I now have SEVERE joint pain throughout my whole entire body. I never had joint pain before taking this nasty stuff. By the end of the day I can barely walk and it's almost impossible for me to pick up my baby. The internal med. Dr. Is checking for Drug-Induced Lupas and I have my first Rheumatology appointment tomorrow. I wish Dr.'s would stop pushing this horrible drug!
