How to Get Off Prednisolone

hi there
Ive been taking Prednisolone meds since June 07, for lupus, and although they help the pain, I'm still suffering the big stomach, moon face and plenty of bruises all over the body,plus swollen joints, are there any other treatments for lupus. I'm also on Plaquenil 200 mg twice a day.
any advice would be welcomed.
