What Happens to Your Period When You Stop Taking Orthocept?

I stopped taking my pills a month ago today. I stopped them 2 days into a new pack. 1 week after that, I had spotting, and then a period. When will my next period occur? Should it be 28 days after I took the last pill, 28 days after my last period when I was on the pill, or 28 days from the period that I had after I stopped taking the pill? How confusing...can anyone help?
