In May of 2006 i found i out i was a week pregnant and but shortly after I found out i was loosing that baby to an eptopic pregnancy. So i decided to get the mirena. My period lasted for almost 3wks then finally it stopped then started back again which lasted another week then i thought finally back to normal. i never had any problems with my sex drive, but my husband had problems wanting to have sex with me. he constantly complained that sex for him was painful, i didn't know what to do, i just figured he had to adjust to this new birth control just like me, so after about 3 or 4 moths he stopped complaining so i didnt think about it anymore. my cycle never was lighter, the cramping was awful but i figured it was ok because this was the first time i had ever been on birth control. by 2008 i had to go to the emergency room because my blood pressure was so high that they were afraid i would have a stroke, my blood pressure was 175 over 129, at that time i was 24yrs. old. I was referred to a neurologist to get my blood pressure under control in which they wanted to put me on medication for it, but i decided to try diet and excercise, thinking that it must be stress, well i was wrong. At the age of 25 i ended up on blood pressure medicine anyways, which i stayed on until July of 2010. Also during this time, in summer of 2009, i went to the emergency room with stomach cramps and fullness thinking i was experiencing another eptopic pregnancy and i was told i had a yeast infection and a STD, they wrote me out prescription for antibiotics and told me to do a follow up with my OBGYN, which had me questioning my husband. I get to my OBGYN and he tells me it wasn't a STD but a pelvic infection. then 3 months later i get another pelvic infection, and 3 months after that another one until finally my doctor changes my antibioctics to something better and i haven't had one since. Since 2009 during cycle time which is still a full one, i get migraines so bad that i can hardly move that last from about a week before my period starts to it ends. As of current i decided that i wanted this out, but because of the economy my husband had to leave his job of 7 years to start a new one that he would get more hours but the down side is we want have insurance so that means i have to deal with medicaid. i figured now was a good as time as any o try to get it out, not that i havent tried once before , but now im tired of all of the pain. the health department tells me they can remove it so they try but since the string is missing, which i told them this prior to the procedure it was gone, they couldnt do it and sent me to another OBGYN. he tried to get it out but i could endure the pain long enough so he told me i would have to have a D&C done to get it removed.the problem is medcaid wao't cover it because my 5yrs. is not up yet even though several doctors, ER visits and two calls to the mirena company told me to take it out. I havent came on my cycle in 2 months i experience the even worse cramping, and prolonged migraines. What can i do?
