Side Effects in First 3 Weeks After Fitting

I am 49 and had a Mirena fitted 3 weeks ago as treatment for endometriosis and heavy periods. Since then I have had almost continuous abdominal cramping, though the painful areas vary day by day; constipation (which I NEVER normally suffer) and today for the first time, nausea so severe I cannot eat. Is this "normal"? Will it wear off in time?
