Egh! It's Out. YEAH!!!!!

I got my mirena in 2007, after my babygirl. I thought i was doin a good thing, pertecting myself from having a hundred kids. But what I had to endure, I'd rather had a hundred. I bled for 6 months, yes 6 months (I THOUGHT I WAS GOIN TO BLEED TO DEATH), mood swings that i blamed on anxity, lose of sleep, man bloating, and sex...man boyfriend would be mad if i told him that the last 2 yearsIi only had 3 orgazims. Crazy? ...yea i know. my back hurts, the headachs. I feel sooo bad because i told my family and friends to get the Iud, what was i thinking. my cousin had to get hers cut out, yes, it has grown into her uteres. she is working on getting help with getting it removed. But today the Iud came out today. So now what? Is this the end of my pain, or another life i got to take care of.

Torrez2007 - I was on Mirena for 2 1/2 years and got it removed 6 months ago. I got my period right away and I kept bleeding up until now. My blood would be so thick it would clot up. Now, the blood is coming out less and it looks like it returned back to it's normal consistency. I don't know how much longer I will bleed but I feel like it won't be much longer. Most of all, I am still having the same back pain as you. It developed after I got it removed. The pain is comparable to labor back pain. I thought I was pregnant but testing myself every two weeks proved I wasn't. I too got a lot of headaches while on it and still am getting little headaches but they are monumentally less intense. The pain killers I take will take care of the headaches but won't do nothing against the back pain. Six months later after removal, I thought I would be through with any pain caused by Mirena but I am not. Just today, I found out another lady experienced back pain like mine after removal and it didn't get better until 1 year after. It made me feel better knowing this Mirena caused pain won't last the rest of my life. Now, I am bracing myself for possibly another 6 months of intense labor-like back pain. My body is returning to normal but not quite yet.

Kimska - HEy Everyone i'm replying to Egh! It's Out. YEAH!!!!! who got her mirena out in 2007 i want to know about her cousin who had to get it cut out? and also anyone else who had to get it cut out or have a general anaesthetic to get mirena out or like the below situationL: you see i had it put in in April 2007. tney cut the strings too short within 2 months it was lost i got a very cool and generic response - like a Bachelor of Medicine lecture from Dr when i went recently to ask can i have an ultrasound to check position of mirena am interested to hear from otehr women whose strings were lost and who had to have a general anaesthetic to get mirena out i was NOT told before insertion that there was a possibility of having to have a general anaesthetic to get it out if the strings were lost or if it moved up thanks
