my life with the Mirena was a 4 year terror story.I was referred to a specialist because i needed a c section for both my kids they knew i had a migrating Uterus and still implanted the Mirena, knowing the risk but not informing me of all the possible issues. At first it was fine, 6months into it i get a nagging pain in my stomach i go to the doctor she said its "adjusting".so I dealt with it. after the first year I lost my insurance and the 6 different doctors I went to refused to remove it.(including the ER) they informed me I need to go back to the doctor that originally put it in. Now my luck would have it that doctor no longer is around.Meanwhile I lose my family doctor so I have no place to go and monitor my problem at this point it hurts to have sex, I would have shooting pain like a knife was being sliced through my c-section scar,my back always hurt, my joints ached all the time,my muscles all over my body would cramp,i was constantly tired, I had constant urinary issues, horrible depression, mood swings, anxiety attacks, repeated trips to the ER (without insurance),and this went on for about 2 1/2 years. So I go to a free clinic they say they cant find it and do an ultrasound they find it. Now they said it was out of place but still good I have no worries. They think I have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. They then prescribe a bunch of anti-biotics.(that turned out not to be true) a few months later on my birthday I was walking down the stairs after having sex and I couldn't sit down I had this horrible stabbing pain that shot all the way up from my private to the middle of my stomach I couldn't walk or move or barely breath.I took a strong vicodin and drove to work I have a computer job and I lasted a couple hours. The next morning I was in so much pain I couldn't stop crying I got to the redi care and they tell me to go see another specialist. The dr there informed me I have a 6 cm cyst on my right ovary and my Mirena was out of place and ineffective but still giving me hormones so I still wasn't having periods. The doctor recommends surgery ( just on the Mirena ) they couldn't schedule it for a month :( The month I waited I wasn't allowed to even lift a laundry basket . a day after surgery the 6cm cyst bursts and Im back at the ER. After that, the doctor told me I should be fine in a couple days.... its been almost 3 months Ive had multiple anxiety attacks, migraines, massive mood swings, at this point I have no motivation to do anything and I feel robotic most of the time like in an emotional freeze of sorts, I have a constant nervous feeling in my stomach,I cry for absolutely no reason, Ive had 3 mental breakdowns(.destroying an entire privacy fence in the process) and for awhile I thought I was going crazy I have to see a psychologist and a therapist. the pain went away after about a month but the mental issues Im having are the worst Ive ever had. Ive been taking the pill to help regulate it all but it doesn't seem to help in any way.So for now once again Im waiting on the dr to figure out whats going on.
