Mirena Shame, Doctors, Pain in Arms, Neck Pains, Heart Palpitations

P.S. stop diagnosing yourselves and each other! you're not doctors! and if you are, shame on you for diagnosing without even meeting someone! !!!
Csd - Shame on the manufacturers for pushing this device without properly informing women of the potential side effects.
Shame on doctors and nurses for fitting this device without properly informing women of potential side effects.
Shame on the medical profession worldwide for swallowing the manufacturers bullshit and believing that the Mirena is a trouble-free method of birth control.
When mine was fitted in May 09, I wasn't told of ANY possible problems either by the doctor or in the manufacturers leaflet.
So when I started getting weird and worrying side effects,my husband and I had absolutely no idea what was causing it. Sadly over the next two and a half years neither did any of the doctors, nurses, hospital medics, or neurologists that we repeatedly saw.
It was ONLY when I started my own research on sites like this that I realised The Mirena was responsible.
Csd - Maybe you have access to different information in the States. Over here in the UK the only leaflet I was given wasn't worth the paper it was printed on.
Anonymous - Wow haydensmom you sure are judgemental. I see you have posted on here a lot, but haven't actually read about your experience with Mirena. I had Mirena and had major problems from it-chest pains/heart palpitations shoulder and neck pains, all of which made me very anxious. No where on the pamphlet does it say that you can have chest pain or heart palpitations or pain in arms and shoulder or neck. I read the side effects. People who experience something bad look for others who have experienced similar things for support. I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so harsh. If you don't llike what you see, quit reading...
