Mirena Personal Life, Delema, Mirena, Final Decision, Good Job
Posted over a year ago
I have had Mirena since January, 8 months now, I am feeling so sad, actually I am looking now in the net as I was not able to stop crying and there is no reason for crying, everything is ok in my personal life. I am very concerned as this symptoms have increased in the last four weeks and I am seriously consider removing Mirena, I want my normal life back.
Pinchesp - Easy answer, remove it before you start to have other side effects. I also had the feeling of complete sadness, (not depression)....with no explanation. My life is also very good, great marriage with two sensational and well adjusted children. (18 and 21 years). I have a good job, actually a great job which I reached the point to really not wanting to go to.
Since removal (only two weeks) I am already starting to feel better. I had the Mirena in for 2.5 years before I realised what the problem was which my doctor confirmed.
Read other womens experiences before making a final decision but you will find the majority have very similar experiences.
I found the side effects just kept adding up as time passed. Also went through the whole delema of what if it isn't the Mirena.
Talk to your doctor also.
Hope this helps
New_begining - I also agree with the lady who posted the comment earlier. I had the Mirena for only about 3 months and had the same side effects as you. I was very sad, moody, fatigue, headaches, bloating, weight gain....the list goes on and on. I found this site and realized that it wasn't just me, that a lot of other women were having some of the same problems that I was. At first my doctor thought that it was post partum seeing as how I had just had a baby, but I knew better. I did convience her to remove it and I felt better almost instantly LOL. With this being said you know your body. If you feel like its the Mirena that is causing all of these problems don't second guess yourself get it taken out!
Ninjakelroi - REMOVE IT! no kidding!!! I've had mine in for over a year, and I've had MANY health problems because of it. The crying is something I have too, but worse then that, I've had to deal with high blood pressure, sinus infections, severe bloating, cramping, decreased sex drive, anxiety, back pain, headaches, and the list goes on and on and one... don't keep it in any longer!!!
