I still have the symptoms and the pain although the pain is much less now. I need to use a cane and walk like a penguin. It is still very difficult for me to use stairs, up or down, use a ladder, and even to get to my feet if I sit on the floor.

Sometimes it takes a long time for symptoms to subside if they ever do. You need to be taking COQ10, at least 100mg, 3x a day. Also take a good quality fish oil. I wish you well.
