Lisinopril Clonidine, Emergency Room, Bp, Spikes, Water Pill
Posted over a year ago
Has anyone experienced Lisinopril actually raising your BP? I went to the emergency room with a BP of 224/116 after two weeks on Lisinopril. I started with moderate BP of mid 130's over low 80's. I was given Clonidine in the ER to bring BP down and now unless I take it faithfllu every 12 hours, it spikes way back up again to dangers numbers. Anybody else have this happen?
Missd - I'm having similar experience. My doctor doubled my dose of lisinopril to 40mg/25mg water pill combo and 5mg amlodipine in the afternoon. The amlodipine lowers it way low to 120/70 or below. When I take the dose of lisinopril it comes back up around 140/85.without meds it runs very high 200/105
