Lisinopril Linsinopril, Ringing in My Ears, Pounding Heart, Chest Tightness, Restlessness
I am a 39-year-old male and have been taking 20 mg Lisinopril for about 2 1/2 years. I was originally diagnosed with elevated BP 140/90 when I got the prescription and it was effective in controlling by BP. Today I am now trying to get myself off of the drug and get back to basics: exercise, diet, etc., to control BP as I feel the drug may be causing some of the issue. I've been off now for about three days. Days one and two were pretty great. A lot of the fatigue and muscle aches seemed to decline. I've been monitoring BP and I've increased exercise as well. Day three and a lot of the symptoms seem to kick back in. BP elevated a little during "peak"of the day and had headache and mild ringing in my ears.
I do have an appt. with my physician next week but was wondering if anyone has experience quitting Lisinopril and what some of the side effects, and their durations, may have been.
