I am a 72 year old male,who like every one posting here, has HBP, and
was prescribed,Lisinopril. I have been on this medication for 5 years but
just now found this web site. I have had all of the symptoms described by
every one but just thought I was getting ready to die. My problem is that I
have been on the drug for so long I'm afraid to quit taking it. My blood
pressure is very good. Does any one have any solutions.
Rosalinda52 - I went to a Health Food Store and started taking Michael's Blood Pressure formula and rotated the herb and lisinopril until totally eliminating while checking my blood pressure five times a day using a wrist monitor.
I read in the long haul it will damage kidneys.
Jcgardner - I have high blood pressure and also rapid heart rate due to A Fib. They tried putting me on all these dangerous drugs that caused side affects that needed another drug to take care of that side affect. Gained 30 pounds that I can't get rid of and my feet swelled up so big I couldn't even walk. I finally weaned myself off of them and went back to Sular which has only mild side affects, none of which I have. Most doctors will say they never heard of it but it is a calicum channel blocker for high blood pressure. My family doctor finally said ok as long as it works and it does. Check it out on the internet and see if it will work for you.
