Numbness, Tingling in Hands

My Dad has had increased numbness, swelling and tingling in his hands. He has been on Lipitor for at least 2 years. He is now on 5mg/day. It's getting worse. He can hardly count money. my questions: Do people regain feeling in hands once off drug? Should he take a Co10 supplement now?
