had open heart 2 years ago, 5 way, age 56. After surgery Dr. gave RX for lipitor, I decided too many side effects and went with Policosanol, a natural product. Read many good items on this. Last week had to go in for chest pressure, Dr now said to use Crestor, read more bad things about this one and talked to pharmacist, she said do not take Crestor. My total cholesterol was 180, 99 LdL, 35, hdl, trigly 228. Could not find problem with all the testing. Take 3000 unit Omega-3 and flax seed oil daily with my BP meds. I am now really confused about taking RX Med for cholesterol.
