I have read a lot of the postings that I wished I had found earlier :( At the end of February I broke my ankle sledding (dumb bunny) and I was put into a fiberglass cast right up to the knee. It was during this "resting" period that it was discovered that I had a severe nasal infection so my doctor prescribed levaquin for 15 days. After taking a few days worth it felt like I had been run over by a mac truck all my joints and muscles from the waist down ached with no relief....Being a nurse I thought it was because of the cast and difficulty walking that was the culprit, but it only got worse :(...... It is now May and I am still finding it difficult to get started and to keep going since I continue to ache....My blood work also showed that I have something extremely elevated that indicated arthritis...I must tell you that I am not even 40 with no history of arthritis and there is nothing to that effect in my family either......I am tired of feeling this way. I feel like I am 80 years old and smell of linament all the time trying to get relief...If someone has any idea how long this can last or if it can cause permant damage I would like to hear from you.........I know that in the future I will not touch this with a 10 foot pole to me this pain is just not worth it....You can contact me at the following email address dewey@tbaytel.net.
