Lamictal Minimal Side Effects, Valproic Acid, Finger Tips, Soles, Hard Time

Hi, I am looking to see if anyone else has experienced burning skin, especially on the soles of their feet and palms of hands/finger tips? I have been on Lamictal for about 5 years now (I was on Valproic Acid for 5 years before that). I am on 150 mg. I have had very minimal side effects, just a hard time remembering or speaking sometimes, but not bad at all. However, in the last 2 months, quite suddenly, I started experiencing burning on my feet and hands, especially when I walk or touch anything. It has increasingly gotten worse and worse. Lately in the night my feet start tingling badly and it climbs up my legs and burns severely. My doctor said she thinks it is nerve related and probably from my Lamictal. I really, really do not want to switch meds. Has anybody else had this problem, and did it go away or at least plateau, or did it get unbearable? Thanks.
