If you have episodes of EXTREME anxiety, heart racing/rapid heart beat, high blood pressure (even on meds), night sweats, headache, you may want to look into Pheochromocytoma, which is a tumor (usually benign) on the adrenal gland. It is rare, but high blood pressure is a symptom. I was recently did a MIBG scan and was diagnosed with Pheo after all the above symptoms occurred after I started taking high blood pressure meds. I am also very young to have high blood pressure, and all other secondary causes were ruled out. Finding and diagnosing the Pheo can be difficult, as only one of my blood/urine tests came back slight positive (1 out of 4). The only way to know for sure, is to have a very rare, and expensive body scan called MIBG. But, I only took this after my endocrinologist recommended it based on my symptoms. Again, this is very rare, but worth looking into if you have these symptoms and especially if you have high blood pressure and are young. Hope this helps someone!
