Aciphex H Pylori Infection, Aciphex Side Effects, Ringing in My Ears, Stomach Pain, Perscription
I have been on Aciphex for about 10 years, my doctor put me on it after treatment for H-Pylori infection. I have read and heard so many bad things related to long term use of it that for the last five years off and on, I have been attempting to get off of it. I have tried just stopping it, yes I had some heartburn but the worst is a terrible burning in my stomach that after about three day I just am forced to go back on it. Two years ago at my annual physical I talked to my doctor about getting off it, she agreed to help me even though she said Aciphex side effects "were not that bad". She gave me a prescription for Ranitidine which she felt would be a step down to eventually get off. It didn't work, after about three days I had the same constant awful burning in my stomach until I could stand it no longer and took the Aciphex, the pain was gone in less than an hour. This stuff has got me hooked, it is not because of heartburn that I keep taking it but because of the stomach pain if I stop, I also have ringing in my ears and headache which also may be from Aciphex. Let me say I had no stomach pain at all before I got my first prescription, although I did have some heartburn. ... more »

If anyone has had similar experience and got off of Aciphex I would be anxious to know how you did it.
