I check these posts daily, so I have been posting a lot! I'm still amazed at so many of us having problems and doctors doubting us!, Mine has been out since yesterday morning and granted I did not have the Mirena for long , but I'm back to my happy self!!! Please do not wait it out, it won't get better only worse...the quicker you get Mirena removed the quicker you will be doing your body good! My Doctor said he had never heard of Mirena giving any woman these side effects??? He also said I should get blood work done to make sure there was nothing wrong with me...Mirena is what was wrong with me!!! I am sorry so many of you have these health problems now and wish you all the best!

Hi everyone,

Had my Mirena out yesterday. Funny how insurance does not cover removal. Are they in on it too??? Absolutely no pain at all. Compared to when it went in, it was a breeze. The only thing the doctor would say about my side effects is that the hormone in the Mirena has been known to cause depressions, but she just looked at me funny when I mentioned all my other symptoms.

My first feeling after having it out was that I didn't feel like I was holding something in, of course, I never noticed that I had a "holding in" feeling, but could feel the difference the minute I got it out. I still have the headache and some dizziness, but not as much as yesterday it seems. It could be that I'm so happy to have this thing out that I'm just feeling better!!!! LOL AND, my skin seems to look better already. Yesterday morning, I was looking at my face up close, and started crying just because it looked awful. It was all just blah, no shine, splotchy, BUT TODAY, I swear it has an even coloring to it. I put on make up for the first time in months because my skin actually looked great!!!

Only had a little bleeding yesterday after removal, and so far none today. I always had a heavy period while on the Mirena so not sure what to expect with it out. I'm just glad the demon thing is gone!!!!!!

Hi, it's me Amanda. I posted a few days ago about my symptoms and my upcoming removal of my Mirena. I had it removed yesterday morning. It was no big deal at all. I barely felt it. I was just starting my monthly Mirena type spotting though which apparently makes your cervix soft and makes it easier to get out. So if you have any sort of cycle on Mirena schedule your removal during your cycle. I was very skeptical of some people's stories of feeling instantaneously better, but I'm a believer now! I started feeling so much better immediately. I started crying this morning when I work WITHOUT A HEADACHE for the first time since I can remember. No Advil Liquigels today, not one. I cannot begin to tell you how insanely happy I am about this. I feel like new person and my uterus just feels lighter and healthier already. I found the previous poster's information from her doctor very interesting about being small-framed and the Mirena being one size fits all. I only weigh 115 pounds and I violently react to many medications because they dose them for the average human. I usually take half doses of things, which I can't do with Mirena. I wonder if that had something to do with it? I will continue to update how my life is going without Mirena! Good luck everyone!
-Amanda

I just had Mirena inserted sept 12 ( 2 weeks ago)-had major cramping and discomfort-but basically went well. Since then i've had the "normal" cramping, pain, and nonstop bleeding. I've had major mood swings and irritability (not the norm for me!)-- and more pressing heart palpitations, arm numbness, insomnia (although im extremely tired--2 month old come on!) The scariest thing is yesterday morning i was lying in bed and my head began spinning--and i was extremely nauseous--and vomiting all day-im still extremely dizzy and can barely get out of bed still!!!!! All this within such a short amount of time....I called my ob/gyn--and am waiting for the callback..i even took a pregnancy test bc I felt as awful as i did when first pregnant! Man im glad my hubby found this site (he was searching to see if mirena causes such symptoms) at least i see other women are experiencing such crazy and similar symptoms as well...ive got to get this thing out-and im not takin no for an answer! -i feel soooo awful ...this dizziness is crazy....comments anyone??
