Aciphex and medication

Hi, I am 25. I have taken omeprazole 20mg. for 4 months for my GERD, and after the fourth month, I started having these abnormal heartbeats. I am really worried if these are side effects of omeprazole, and if this medicine may cause permanent damage to the heart. So I decided to see my PCP and requested a change in medication, so he prescribed me 6 month-refills of Aciphex 20mg. It’s my second week now, and I feel this weird itchy feeling inside my chest. I feel like I am always tired, and breathe hard than usual. Id this a side effect of Aciphex? Should I stop taking Aciphex? And does achiphex damages the heart muscle, or cause CAD?

I've been taking Aciphex for 5 days. I might have to stop taking this medication because it scared me. This happened when I went to bathroom, I saw red blood on my stool in toilet bowl. I've never made anything like that before. Besides, I feel weak all the time when I'm on the medication. I'll call my doctor tomorrow. Just wanted to share my experience here. My husband also experienced irregular heartbeats and it seemed to be connected to eating. He has stopped taking the medication.

I was on Aciphex 20mg once daily for about two weeks. I had a lot of gas during this time and noticed some improvement with the acid reflux. My doctor increased my dose to 20 mg twice a day. When this was done, I began getting severe stomach cramping and diarhea (went over twenty times in one day). I stopped the medication and hopefully will feel better soon. Now I just need to find a solution for my acid reflux. I don't want any more of these medications!

I have been taking Aciphex for several months, & found it gives me gas. Now I have morning indigestion belching, & upper chest discomfort. Have not been bothered with Reflux for a long time. It is planned I will stop taking this medication for awhile, & see what happens.

I have been on this medication for a while ACiphex and I have noticed that I am very tired all the time I thought it was the season but I guess it could be this medicine.

I have been on Aciphex for 8 days. Last night I couldn't sleep because I was so bloated that my stomach was so tight and it looked like I was pregnant. I also had alot of chest pain. It was very difficult to breath. It felt like a heavy weight on my chest. I had the same results from Prontix. The only thing different was my throat didn't swell. I was immediately taken off of Prontix because my doctor said it was an allergic reaction. Of course I stopped the Aciphex because I know how bad it can get. I would recommend if anyone is having any type of side effect to call their doctor. Better safe than sorry. As for me I am not trying another medication. Two times of a bad reaction is more than enough! I'd rather not take anything.
