Hi! Have taken aciphex twice daily for almost a year now. I have to say I never felt better. I was really suffering with such symptoms.
The only side effect I have is dry mouth and I sometimes have large bowel movements every day or so. But this is a small price to pay for the relief I now have. I am so thankful for aciphex. I tried protonix and it did nothing for me. My husband takes protonix and it has been like a miracle for him.

I have been on Aciphex for three weeks and have experienced dry mouth, chapped lips, constipation, general vagueness and "slowness", troubled sleep and bloating. Does anyone know what the recommended period is to take Aciphex?

I was switched to Aciphex to see if my side effects were from the pharmacy switching me from Prilosec to the generic Omeprazole but I have a dry mouth, seems like I'm in a cloud and my memory isn't as sharp and the least of my problems I noticed is dry chapped lips. I'm swithching back to prilosec. I was also taking DHEA and will discontinue that to see if it makes a difference. Any other thoughts please contact me.

I've had Fibromyalgia for a long time. The #1 thing, is to have a positive attitude. Get info. about this disease. Get moving. Start out slowly. Do what you are able to do, nothing more and nothing less. I know its hard to keep moving. But if u dont, ur stuck with no life. I've been down this road too. Get some physical therapy. I have found, for me, that pool therapy is the best. I dont have as much gravity to deal with in a swimming pool. The water seems to hold u up. Get involved in som...

I have tried herbal remedies, acupuncture, body stress release, dietician, exercise, pain killers, massage, physio, posture modifying appliance, bean bags and oils, ice pack, pilates, chiropractor, daily meds like inderal and trepiline and still, nothing has been able to give me long te...
by rose81, 2 replies, updated about 13 hours ago.I was given the fantastic news that my body doesn't like itself anymore. I don't know when it had a falling out, but all I can say is the course of action to remedy this disease is CRAZY. Taking meds that have more side effects and the restrictions on my daily life, because of the meds, no driving, no salt, no sugar, and little fat in my diet, very little sun. Bathing in skin moisturizer, moodiness, mental confusion, can't work, but expected to continue cooking for family, and cleaning. Which I guess ...

He has slured speech, incoherent, unsteady on his feet & drops off to sleep in the blink of an eye. Could it be something other that drink related? or is he just pretending to himself he's ok?

Your statement is 100 percent true . Dry mouth like you could not imagine , high blood pressure , swelling of the face and anxiety like crazy . Thank You for the info , I don't know why my doctor never mentioned any of these side effects . I thought it was rare that they were wanting to do blood work on me AGAIN after just recently having one . I'm done . I will modify my diet and continue working out at the gym .
