insomnia-wellbutrin

I have been on wellbutrin for about 6 weeks, started at 300ml,then up to 450, about 3 weeks ago. Have had the worst insomnia that I have ever had, have not slept much for 10 days. Even sleeping pills don't seem to help. Just today I went down to 300ml,on my doctor's recommendation.I really hope this helps with the insomnia. My Dr.told me to keep taking sleeping pills, until I see if taking only 300mls will stop the insomnia.Anyone have any advice or similar experience? HELP! Chris.

Hi Chris, My doctor told me to take my Wellbutrin as early in the morning as possible, as insomnia is a common side effect. I was not on Wellbutrin long enough to notice any insomnia, as my doctor changed the medication to Paxil. It works just as well for the anxiety and I still have no insomnia. Julie
