Effective dosage of Wellbutrin

Posted at 12:34 PM on Jul 11, 2008 by ch8491, #6718
I am taking only 150 MG. of Wellbutrin each day and believe it is keeping my depression at bay. My practitioner says it is a placebo effect because of "Wellbutin's poof factor" - a tendency for it to stop being effective after two or three years. I have been on it for several years now. Could this amount taken over this period of time still be effective or is it a placebo effect?

I say if you feel good then don't change anything, what's the point? Are you having any negative side effects? And I heard the poof factor is much faster than that, you get a high effect for a couple weeks to a couple months then you lose that feeling and feel normal or need an increase dose. So take what your doctor says with a grain of salt.
