dizziness after Avelox

Posted at 12:47 PM on Sep 21, 2008 by jeudyth, #7630
I've been taking Avelox for 4 days (3 days to go) for bronchitis and a sinus infection. The dizziness is incapacitating, and I have vague nausea all the time (although I feel hungry a lot). My question is, do these side effects stop immediately when I'm done w/the pills?

Good chance they will NOT stop after you are finished taking the medication. I suggest stopping asap and asking for a different medication. Avelox is in the same class of drugs as Levaquin and Cipro. Please see the number of side effect for Levaquin. These are horrible drugs that can leave permanent damage. Hopefully since you only took 4 pills the damage won't be as bad as it is for those of us who took more. Good luck to you.

I stopped after 5 pills. It is now 5 days later, and I am finally starting to feel better. Thanks for the advice. Unless I am desperately ill, I'll never take that stuff ever again!
