avelox and prednisone

Posted at 8:49 AM on May 23, 2008 by chyan, #6120
I'm taking avelox for what is perceived to be a bronchial infection. I was also given a low dosage of prednisone for my asthma. Is it alright to mix these two. I wait four between each

Do not mix these two. Please check out the following websites: fqresearch.com, fqvictims.com, fluoroquinolones.org, noquinolones.proboards58.com/index.cgi. The quinolone antibiotics cause terrible and sometimes irreversible side effects. People who have taken them in combination with steroids have suffered terribly. The first two websites I listed might be .org. Not sure. Please check it out and do your homework. Also, your doctor may not have any idea about this. You need to be your own advocate. I would ask for a different antibiotic all together. Augmentin should work just as well and have far fewer side effects. Good luck.
