I have never had anxeity or depressoin 55 hr old male. I started Avelox 18 days ago but after day 4 (400 mg) I woke up in the middle of a deep sleep with extreme depression and anxiety. Even now 14 days later this feeling is on and offl.. Is there something I can take to get this crap out of me sooner. Thanks Jay

The half life of Avelox for a person with normal liver function is 12-14 hours. This means that every 12-14 hours half of what is in your body is eliminated. Using 14 hours as the half life and assuming you stopped after 4 days, you only have 1 microgram left in your body now. For the most part, barring a dammaged liver, you have eliminated the Avelox. If the anxiety still persists you should talk to your doctor about it.
