Hi I'm male 54. I had all the extreme joint & muscle pains. Tiredness to the absolute point of disbelief. Wee weeze was frequent and pathetic but did not hurt. No 2 became every 4 days and the amount of a hedgehog. The reproductive thing became tottally dysfunctional but no pain. I did end up with spams in my eye balls so i would not be surprised if the medicine was giving you your other hurts. This is all the pits. Good luck from new zealand

Hi. I have decided to stop taking it for a while to see if things change. I am a bit scared as my Dr. said I had to take it as I have had a pacemaker fitted the same time as I was prescribed the Simvastatin. But I think I will chance it. Thanks for reply

I don't believe the situation I am in, in so far as that I no longer trust any medical proffessional at face value - this really does hurt me. Your pace maker - I was on accupril Blood pressure pills and betalok 47.5 I take neither now. I take lare amounts of flax seed oil, fish oil and the highest quality COQ10 that has been made. I purchased my own blood pressure meter. I now enjoy no irregular heartbeat, low stable blood pressure, more energy and a calmness that is absolutely devine. If you go to drmike on this site he has links to an american cardiologist who has done surveys that show statins cause cardio myapathy (failure). Your pacemaker situation is scary but what the hell of you got to loose by researching and taking quality supplements for a while. If every doctor in the world had reported the adverse side effects of statins none of us would be in this situation the problem has been caused through blasse non communication and non reporting by the doctors. Believe me the oils above the right ones and the right amounts along with gentle exercise and gentle eating have given me an increidble improvement in quality of life.
