I have the Mirena since January 2008. Insertion was very painful for me and so were the weeks after that. I was starting to feel fine after about 2 month. Then my face startet to break out with very painful zits, regular headaches, stomach paines (it always felt like it was poking me) , i got cysts which i never had before, my hair is falling out and got thinner and my body startet to become chubbier and chubbier. I have been talking to my doctor and she gave me some antibiotics which did not do a thing for me. I am tired all the time, i am moody and just like many of you my sex drive went completely out the window. Now i am so so close to make an appointment and have it taken out!!!! I am sick and tired of it. The fact of not havint to think about taking a pill every day or having easy periods is nice but everything else that comes with the mirena is just not worth any of it!!! Of course every woman is different and some might be alright with it, all i am saying is be careful what you put in your body!!!
