I had Mirena inserted on 08-07-08, So far so good with me.
My only complaint is that i am still spotting but according to the Dr. this is normal for a few more months.
Honestly i don't have any other issues with it.
Every women's body will react differently it just depends on your body.
I had mine fitted 1.7.08 spotting lasted about 5 weeks then nothing, i am on my 2nd period and it is very light and cramps are not half as bad, it will be 9 weeks on Tuedsay for me, i am hoping next month i dont have a period, this is why i got it fitted as i went through terrible heavy periods and terrible cramps were i was off work every month
