I am so sorry that so many of you are experiencing such terrible side effects. Honestly, Mirena has been so awesome for me. I have had absolutely no side effects, except for the slight cramping in the beginning. After 3 weeks, the cramping disappeared. I did gain weight but only because I have been overeating a ton...I tend to do this at times. I went on the Atkins diet one month ago and have already lost 12 pounds. So, I know the Mirena is not affecting my weight. I have had it in for about one year and my period completely stopped, until today. Today I had some spotting and I feel sore. I think my weight loss may have something to do with the sudden period. I'm not complaining. Strangely, I kind of missed my period...LOL. I hope you all find something that works for you!
