See your doctor soon.
Some of the serious side effects are having dizziness, difficulty in breathing, palpitations you can look at the whole list here http://www.internationaldrugmart.com/lisinopril.html
Hi, I noticed a couple of your side effects from lisinopril is a bad taste and painful tongue. I too have a bad taste, sorness on end of tongue, and dry mouth, which has caused a couple of cankar sores. I was reading through the various comments on side effects and yours was the only one I could identify with. Thank you for sharing yours, now I don't feel I'm the only one!
Thanks,
Sharie
oops, I forgot the "e" in "soreness" (in the post above) hehe
My doctor replaced Lisinopril with Benicar. I took a 2 day beak between meds and am feeling much better. Tongue problem took approx. 8 days to resolve. Some slight light headedness when standing upright after bending over otherwise ok. Don't be afraid to talk to your own doctor about side effects, you don't have to live with them. They are always other medications to try. Best wishes.
Good I found you! I also have a burning sensation on my throat & tongue. I already complained to my doc and prescribed to me Pantoprazole SOD - 40 mgs and still have the same problem. Did you change your med? I will see my doc and complain about this. Thanks for sharing.
I was taking lisinopril but changed meds because of the constant cough it caused. The cough caused me to develop acid reflux. I was prescribed pantoprazole SOD for that and developed diarrhea and severe headaches. So I changed to Zantac. I too have a constant strange taste in my mouth and many foods taste different. Does this go away now that I have stopped taking those medications? Do Cozaar or Lipitor cause strange taste in your mouth also?
