I hope your mother pulls through. I called my doctor's office and it is the weekend, so no response - other than I can go to the ER or call 911. If I pass away, I want my husband to check into having this drug banned. We as consumers need to get the word out about this horrific drug.

My head it splitting right down the middle of my forehead and face. I am having flashbacks to the hallucinations I had last night. This is unbelievable. I have never had anything close to this feeling in my life and I am over 50.

Please, if there are any government or FDA people reading this consider our complaints. Drug companies are just out to make money not cure illnesses.

Levaquin is POISON to my body. Beware of this drug. I am doing this typing with pain in my body but hope this helps someone to know to ask for anything but this deadly drug.

I am so sorry too hear about your mother. I hope a doctor(s) soon realizes what can be done too get your mother's quality of life back.
I was put on Levaquin a few years ago also. I ALWAYS read the information that comes with all medications first. I noticed after taking just two pills that my right arm, (on the inside of my arm), just below my elbow was swollen, not much but noticeable. That was one of the side effects of Levaquin. I called my Dr. and she took me off of it right away and called in another perscription that was fine.
I understand your frustration and others, as I am frustrated at the side effects of many medications that I don't remember reading about 20-40 years ago. But one MUST read the information that comes with your medication FIRST before you even take that first pill. It may make a huge difference and one may catch a side effect in it's early stages as I was so lucky too have done.
My doctor has me down as being allergic too Levaquin and I can never use it again.
