Psychological issues symptoms and conditions

I had 2 lupron shots back in April and May and it was the worst decision of my life. I now have SEVERE panic attacks, depression and loss of appetite. I was a very healty 33 year old woman and very active and now all I want to do is stay in bed. I was NEVER informed by my doctor of any side effects other than I MIGHT get a little moodier (angry) easier. That never happened. For 2 months straight all I did was cry. I would wake up crying and go to bed crying. I have never had any past experience with depression and I have already seen a psychiatrist and 4 other doctors. I finally saw a new OBGYN and she informed me that the 2nd shot that I received went straight to my head and it messed with the chemicals in my brain. I am a wreck. I have no energy and it's all I can do to just get out of bed and go to work. Had I known about ANY of these side effects, I would have NEVER taken this drug. This drug needs to be banned completely and thrown in the trash can before any other woman goes thru this. I was on the verge of being suicidal. I am a Christian woman and would never harm myself but the thoughts were always there. I would wake up with a severe panic attack and they would come all during the day. The doctor that originally gave me the shots told me I had psychological issues and HE HIMSELF called and got me an appointment with a psychiatrist. Ladies, we are not crazy. These are real symptoms and it is all because of these shots. It messes with the chemicals in your brain. And had I know that, I would have said HECK NO to them. My endometriosis is much more tolerable than these stupid, insane shots. Please do not take them if at all possible. I do not want one more woman to go thru what I have been through and still going through. I now am on anti depressants to try to get the chemicals in my brain back to where they should be. I just hope and trust in the Lord that I will eventually get through this.

Posting again because I'm still FURIOUS at how the medical community seems to dismiss the fact that Singulair can be a terrible drug for children and adults of all ages.

I have communicated directly with the leading professor at the University of Florida - School of Pharmacology and Pediatrics. His exact quotation to me was "The efficacy of Singulair is modest. If we took all of our patients off it right now they would not suffer" Spread the word to ALL people you talk to on the street, at work, and wherever you may go. While this drug may work for some it is BAD for MANY!!!! Too many people are being misdiagnosed because of the side effects of Singulair.

I have stated many times that I am not an expert. I just post what I find. This has been a mind boggling journey for me. This is way over my head but I struggle to read and understand. Finding answers to why children are suffering from neuro-psychiatric side effects is worth the effort.

I have made the following observations.

1. Some quinoline are known to be able to cross the blood brain barrier.
2. Molecules that ionize are known to be more likely to be able to cross cell membranes. So if montelukast ionizes as a result of change in blood pH to sufficient acid conditions that it ionizes, then it could be possible or maybe like that it does in fact cross the blood brain barrier.
3. We know that there are cysLT1 receptors in the brain.
4. We know that researchers believe that montelukast may bind at the arginine of the cysLT1 receptor.
5. We know that arginine contains four nitrogens. And montelukast contains one.
6. We don't know what happens to those nitrogens.
7. We do know what macrophages create nitric oxide as I posted.
8. We do know that if something cause excessive nitric oxide to build in the brain that there would be damage to the neurons.

Some people may remember when I got stuck at the astrocytes, the cysLT1 receptors and glutamate. I keep looking for research reports that may shed more light on this.

We determined the ability of pathological levels of nitric oxide (NO) to cause glutamate release from isolated rat brain nerve terminals using a fluorometric assay. It was found that NO (0.7 and 2 μM) produced (4 and 10 nmol/mg of synaptosomal protein) Ca2+-independent glutamate release from synaptosomes (after 1 min of exposure). Spermine/NO complex (spermine NONOate; a slow NO donor) and potassium cyanide (an inhibitor of cytochrome oxidase) also caused Ca2+-independent glutamate release. Preincubation of synaptosomes with 5 μM 1H- oxadiazole quinoxalin-1-one (an inhibitor of soluble guanylyl cyclase) had no effect on NO-induced Ca2+-independent glutamate release. Ca2+-independent glutamate release produced by NO was greater in a low-oxygen medium. NO, spermine NONOate, and potassium cyanide inhibited synaptosomal respiration with a similar order of potency with respect to their ability to cause glutamate release. Because NO has been shown previously to inhibit reversibly cytochrome oxidase in competition with oxygen, our findings in this study suggest that NO (and cyanide) causes glutamate release following inhibition of mitochondrial respiration at the level of cytochrome oxidase. Thus, elevated NO production leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, glutamate release, and excitotoxicty may contribute to neuronal death in neurological diseases.

Spread the word to ALL people you talk to on the street, at work, and wherever you may go. While this drug may work for some it is BAD for MANY!!!! Too many people are being misdiagnosed because of the side effects of Singulair.

hated it. It was prescribed for insomnia and anxiety. Worked at first for the insomnia at 25 mg, then had to go up to 50 mg and barely worked then. My anxiety was worse, woke up with panic attacks. Vivid horrid nightmares. Spiraled into a severe, deep suicidal depression on it. Had hand tremors and restless legs. Currently weaning off. Never again!

I took Avelox 2 months ago for 7 days and experienced dizziness and fatigue, my sinus infection cleared up but for the next 2 months the dizziness and fatigue did not go away. I couldn't figure out what it was until I got another sinus infection and was prescribed it again... This time I have had crazy anxiety attacks, it feels like a thousand pound person is crushing my chest, my heart is racing, my neck is stiff, my joints hurt, my head has constant pressure on it. I feel like I am going to go to sleep and not wake up. I have had psychological issues and emotional outbursts. I have lost complete function and control of my body. My arms jumped while I was trying to eat, and couldn't even grab a fork. I feel like I am dieing or going to die. Its just crazy... I wouldn't recommend anyone to take it.

Was put on Cymbalta after taking Prozac because I just did not feel "myself". While on the Cymbalta, I could not sleep at all and my psych tried Rozarem first, then Lunesta and then Ambien CR instead of taking me off the Cymbalta! Still did not keep me asleep. Within two weeks of using this drug (with the Cymbalta) I had a "medicinal black-out" - one of the side effects. I apparently thought my husband was walking the dogs and went out garage where I fell down steps, cracking two ribs. I walked in and told my husband I think I fell. He thought I was drunk and just put me to bed. I have absolutely no memory of any of this. Also had three pychotic breaks while taking the Cymbalta and finally took myself off of it. This is day 17 of withdrawal. I don't hate anyone enough to wish this on them. You have brain zaps (like a cattle prod), vertigo, pain in your joints and muscles that make you scream. I would not let anyone go on either of these drugs, ever! I just went to a specialist yesterday in St. Louis that told me all my symptoms were related to my Mitral Valve Prolapse and that I have MVP Syndrome and I'm not crazy at all. For all of you suffering from panic attacks, depression, eating disorders, heart pain, insomnia, etc., have yourself tested for MVP. I have known I've had this heart defect since my late teens and I'm now 48. No one has ever told me that these symptoms are related to my prolapse just psychological issues!!
