I've been on Zocor since December for high cholestorol, 20 mg. In july, after blood work, it had no effect on cholestorol so my cardiologist, increased dose to 40mg. I don't have the muscle issues described here, but I noticed in August, my eyes have become extremely dry and I can't cry. They are so dry especially at night. I've been on allergy and asthma meds for 2 years now- but those prerscriptions haven't changed. Also, taking zoloft for depression- that was increased also after my car accident in Dec. I don't know if this is a new problem or a result of meds- If anyone has this problem please write. I've changed jobs, my insurance now stinks and can't afford to see my doctors at the present time.

A recent leg infection put me in the hospital, I was put on Levaquin by IV for two week while in ICU after leaving the hospital 3 weeks ago my Doctor has me still on 500mg of Levaquin...I am currently experiencing MAJOR INSOMNIA for the last 7 days...unable to sleep until I almost pass out from not sleeping...at the present time I have been up for 36 hours. I am glad that I have found this website and since I only have 2 days left of my medication...I will finish it and hopefully my sleeping habits will return.

My Father has been taking Lipitor for 4 years. At the present time, he is alomost completely immobile due to severe muscle weakness. He has short term memory loss, cannot taste his food, was only sleeping for a couple of hours each night, and has developed blotchy red spots on his arms. At first they (Doctor)said he was having mini strokes. Now they just have no answers. This drug has robbed my father of his health and mobility. These drug companies will be held accountable for destroying peoples lives!
