I am a 49 years old Hispanic who was given 10 Milligrams of Lisinopril a day for what i understood was to prevent some potential kidney problems I may be having. "Just to make sure the doctor said". After about a month of taking it and feeling tired and irritable, I decided that I needed to look this medicine's symptoms to see if that was the source of my being so tired, anxious and feeling like doing nothing but sleeping, when I am usually a very energetic person who likes to stay busy all the time. I am very surprised to know that this medicine is for treatment of HBP which I have none. My BP has always been normal so I don't understand what was the purpose of this medicine. I am taking myself out of this drug and calling my doctor tomorrow because he has some explaining to do.

the truth of the matter is that this medicine did make me very tired, irritable and depressed

Let me begin by telling you that I am a nurse with 28 years experience. My father is 76 years old with a history of cardiac problems. He has been on Lipitor for 8 years. In the past two months he has developed muscle pain that had gotten to the point he could hardly walk. His doctor diagnosed him with "arthritis." His joints did not hurt and I questioned his diagnosis. What he has is fibromyalgia. Muscle dysfunction caused by Lipitor. We have taken him off of the drug and he is improving. In place of Lipitor he now takes 2000 milligrams of vitamin C daily. Vitamin C is a natural way to control cholesterol. In my opinion I suggest anyone taking symvistatin in any form should stop immediately. It is a very dangerous drug. If you think this is what you have please request your physician order the following two tests.....CPK and serum myogluten levels. Cholesterol is very important to muscle function and that is why it is produced by the body. Zocor, Lipitor, ( symvistatin) inhibits the production thus lowering the level. Let me add that prior to this condition onset my dad was riding his bike 3 plus miles a day and could out walk me any day of the week. This drug has disabled him. We are hoping for a full recovery but that is yet to be seen.
Thank you ******

I started having panic attacks while taking Percocet. I am a chronic alcohol user, and I am saying this just in case it rings a bell for anyone. I have since stopped taking Percocet (about 3 days). I was a habitual/recreational user ... meaning that I took them when available, but I did not always have them. Since my last dose, I have been having recurrent panic attacks that are very scary. They include physical symptoms (heart pounding, cold and hot flashes, feeling of difficulty breathing, sweating, shaking) - and the much more scary mental symptoms (fear of death, walls closing in, inability to think or concentrate, vivid dreaming, fear of people, etc.). It appears that some other people have had issues like this, but not everyone. Can someone share their story with me. Has anyone had similar experiences ? Do they go away at some point ? Is it withdraw (I am not sure since they started while I was using them - but continued after I stopped) ? I have heard that it just takes some time, but it is very scary. I get some relief by drinking ... in fact almost complete freedom from most of the symptoms, but I can't just drink all day. Please help.

My doctor put me on Lisinopril (10 mg) a week ago. On the third day, I felt fatigue, had a cough, entire body soreness, felt feverish, with flu symptoms. My doctor told me to stop taking it for three or four days and start it up again. I did. I felt better, especially on my forth day. I started it up again on a Monday and still felt okay, but the fatigue returned. Today, which is Saturday, I woke up feeling great. I didn't take the Lisinopril until noon time and from then on I have felt very tired. I laid down for six hours, slept two. I still have the cough and have decided to take the Lisinopril at night so that I may sleep better. I go back to my doctor the 11th of October and will let you all know how that turned out.

I can't believe the things I am reading. I was beginning to think my child was experiencing some kind of trauma. She has been taking Singulair for about 4 months now. She has been acting very unlike herself. ANXIETY MAJOR!!! We didn't really know what it was and the docot hadn't mentioned any side effects like shes been experiencing. I wiil immediately stop this medicine thanks to all of the other people who have posted their life experience. She has fear of dying, anxious, nightmares, anxiety, crying a lot, stomach aches, etc. Thank you everyone!!

I started with 60 mg per day for polymyalgia rheumatica and now after two years have weaned myself down to 5 mg per day. I have a side effect that I have not read anyone else having. It has effected my taste buds. Many foods that I loved in the past, have a foreign taste to me. I am 66, male and have tried to drop down to 2 1/2 mg but the pain is too intense to remain at that level, so had to return to 5 mg. I have lots of pain in the feet and especially toes. I can tell that I am getting better and am very anxious to get off of Prednisone.

I have been on Topamax for approximately six weeks - 100 miligrams for migraine. I have to say that so far my side effects have been minimal and my results have been quite good. I am experiencing some parasthesia in my hands and feet - but it is transitory and mildly annoying at worst. I have found that a lot of foods don't taste very good - and I really only like highly flavorful things like fruits and vegetables. I don't enjoy anything fatty, starchy or sugary. I'd like to be able to complain about that - but let's get real - that's probably a good thing. I've lost about 20 pounds since I started on the Topamax, 20 pounds that I can easily afford to lose. I also find that I am quite thirsty. I was experiencing some tiredness, but by switching to dosing only at bedtime, I have minimized that side-effect. My appetite has diminshed a great deal. I am not noticing cognitive side effects. I have had two migraines since I started on the Topamax (I was having approxmitately 15-20 days a month of severe migraines before), but I was able to take 1/2 dose of Relpax, and the migraine was gone within a half an hour. Typically I woiuld have to take a whole dose, repeat the dose in 2 hours and still have a headache, and repeat for 3-5 days, so I am seeing a big difference in the incidence of my headaches. All-in-all I am feeling quite hopeful that the Topamax, for me, will be an excellent overall solution for something that has been quite debilitating.

I have been taking Lisinopril for about the last maybe 8 to 10 years. It started with 20 miligrams and has now gone to 40 miligrams. Recently my pharmacy change the manufacturer of their Linsinopril. My face is extremely dry, as well as my hair has dried out so bad, that I am beginning to loose my hair. I honestly just received revelation of this on last night, as I could not figure out why I would stay so dry. I try to drink lots of water, but it seems that I am literally drying out. And to be honest my hair has had so many issues since being on this high dose of Lisinopril. Has anyone experienced dry skin or hair, resuluting in hair loss or extremely dry skin?

Just started Lisinopril 10 millagrams. Doctor told me I might have a little tickle and a small cough sometimes. Has anyone had good results from this drug and I'm hoping 10 miligrams will produce little side effects. Any positive feedback? Is there a drug that doesn't cause tiredness? Oh one thing I noticed I have to take it with something in my stomach or I ger shaky.

I have read with concern the side effects posted by others.

My wife was on 10 miligrams of Lipitor for a little over a month and began having severe pain in her legs. I told her to stop until she visited our doctor, but she went ahead. Our doctor immediately took her off. He will try something else in a month.

It is ironic to because I have been on Lipitor for two years now, over 80 mg for the past year or so, and can't say I've had any side effects at all. I can say that my total cholesterol is under 100. Not sure if that's from the diet and fish oil or from the drugs.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Levaquin is a sulfur base drug. I had prostitus. Was given a weeks worth of the drug at 250 miligrams. Could not sleep or eat. a month later thought I had prostitus again. Went to emergency room, told Dr. my symptoms. Was given a shot of genimycin and 500 mg of Leviquin to take. Could not sleep, Became so anxious and depressed that I cried for days. I lost the strengh in my legs. Became confused and more depressed. Threw up for over two weeks lost 22 lbs. Was given more drugs that I could not take. Be real careful with this med. I am still not right yet. Lost alot of strength still anxious, Have to take med to sleep. and on and on! I pray for anyone who has taken this drug because I don't know when I will ever get over the effects of it. Took only three doses of 500 mg. Back in September. Lost five weeks of work. I am still trying to find my way back. Drink alot of grape juice. Take Meticumucle. and walk and walk work out. Read but don't give up!!!!! Say your prayers and in time things will get better. I still have good days and some ripples. But ask your Dr about what drugs would work for your anxiety. just don't ask for Koloplin. Be careful but that is another story. If you are taking a drug for chololestrol be careful with this as well. Good Luck and may " God always hold you in the palm of HIS hand" Best wishes, Traveller-1861CS

I'm a female, 23 years old. I have OCD, attention deficit disorder, and general anxiety disorder.

On zoloft, I feel less anxious on the plus side. I feel comfortable with approaching people and in making new friends. However, even with 25 miligrams, which is next to nothing, I feel troubled by a foggy headed feeling. I want to always put the cart before the horse, or do the final thing before all the steps leading to it, or I simply look like I lack common sense, which is embarassing (at work, my new job). I feel dumb when I am not.

Also on the negative side, I notice I'm more depressed on zoloft. And when I drink alcohol such as vodka in long island ice teas with that shit, the next day I have the shakes like a crack addict going through withdrawal and I feel so depressed and anxious that I almost think I need to check in to a mental hospital because I might, if a gun were close by, do myself in.

This is not the medication for me. Also, I recently started wellbutrin and notice the zoloft/wellbutrin combination makes me feel even more in a fog, but in a different way, as if I were on a cloud and can't think of the right things to say or do. This isn't me. I just feel really fucked up.

I know everyone's experience and problem is different. I'm currently looking for another medication that won't make me feel like I'm in a fog and won't increase my ADD, but will decrease my anxiety and my OCD.

I have taken paxil 2 - 3 years probably, started out taking 12.5 miligrams but during the last year and a half increased to 20.m.g. I have terrible night sweats, clinch my teeth really bad, have dreams that are "hair raising", not frightening all the time but just wake you up feeling strange.I've gained weight but that may not be the paxil, I have a real urge to eat sweets that I've never had before the last year or so. I have very hard to explain popping in my ears when I'm laying down. It affects my hearing and I even see flashes when I'm trying to go to sleep. I have miagraines and attribute some of this to that. However this did not happen prior to taking the paxil and I wonder if other people have the same symptoms. I'm in the process of stopping taking this drug and have just about gotten off it. How long will it be before its out of my system? Does anyone have these "strange feelings with their ears and head?"

I have been taking this drug for a few months a low dosage for miagraines. However I do have milder migraines on the drug. I have a prescription now for a higher dosage 500 miligrams wonder if this is a good idea?
