I'm 25 and have been on Nuvaring for a little over 2 weeks now (because I suck at remembering to take the pill every day). I'm overweight so I thought the chest pains and left arm pain was because of that --- for the first time in my life I have high blood pressure. I thought, seriously, that I was showing signs of an impending heart attack. The chest pains come and go but I'm getting really concerned. I haven't had any noticeable mood swings. I'm just wondering when is the time to stop wondering if the chest pains will get worse and actually say something to my gynecologist.

36 year old male. Only been taking Lipitor for one month. Stopped taking it one week ago after feeling strange side effects. Shoulder pain, tingling fingers, heart racing at night, left arm pain. Feel clumsy when I normally have excellent hand eye coordination. Tendons feel funny in arm when clenching stuff.

Still feeling some side effects but not as bad now. Before kept waking up from sleep with pain in left shoulder and tingling in left hand, but now not so bad.

Any alternatives?

Would appreciate it. Dr's do not seem to know what they are talking about. Said that the lipitor would not be causing my problems. I just got told to stretch and it would go away as I do not exercise enough. What a load of crap, can't they stop going by their scientific approach to everything and look at the big picture?

I took 40 mg lisinopril for about 3 weeks. After the first week I had chest pain and left arm pain. This resulted in a trip to the hosp. Nothing was found after three days of tests and monitoring. They discharged me and I still had constant back pain. Finally I stopped taking the lisinopril and went back to Diovan. Back pain cleared up after a day or two. I still get pain above my shoulder blades if I walk more than a few hundred yards. I also get the same pain when I work out with weights. I am 64 and could bench 135lbs 10 to 12 times. I've been eating mostly vegatarian and been exercising for 1 3/4 yrs. I sure hope the back pain goes away
It's really cramping my style.

I was on another BC pill and was fine. I decided that Yasmin might be a good switch since it touts water/weight loss. I only took ONE PILL and that night I felt like my heart was pumping out of my chest. For the next two weeks, I had signs of angina--chest tightness, left arm pain, left neck pain, and numbness and tingling in my arms and legs. My OB-GYN doctor dismissed my symptoms and told me to see my family dr. My family dr. did have tests done and my brain MRI came up with possible signs of MS! I had to wait 2 months to see a specialist who read the x-rays and found them negative--what a relief. I also told him of Yasmin and he dismissed this possibility. I immediately went off of Yasmin and finally am feeling better after 2 months of taking one pill. I urge everyone to hold their ground and take care of your body and don't let anyone "dismiss" your symptoms. Thanks to everyone for posting your reactions--it certainly validates what I went through.
