I'm not sure whaat's wrong

Okay here is what is going on I was given cipro 250 mg for 3 days twice a day and diflucan just in case, I had to go see my doctor because she saw epithealeal cells in urine and white cells, nobody bothered to call me back to tell me my second culture was clear. no organisms found. I don't believe them I have no appetite pain in both sides where my kidney's are located it hurts to drink anything, i have low fevers that range anywhere from 100.2-100.5 yes i have mixed connective tissue disease, my question is I feel like crap I can't stay awake, I still have visible debris in my urine and I believe i have spasms in my kidney after i drink flluids, so how clear can this culture actually be, I would like to be there for the actual testing of the culture because I'm pissed I feel sick my neck hurts and am getting other signs of other infections someone please help they almost put me in the hospital scarring me half to death. Don't I have the right to be pissed. off. I'm sick of doctors not doing their damn jobs, do it right the first time. I'm not rich you know.

I would go see a different doctor. If they don't consider that a fever with your other symptoms, then there is something wrong...with them.
There are products now, over the counter, thatwill tell you if you have a UTI. Ask the phamacist, or google it. I don't know the names. But if you need other confirmation to confront your doctor with, that would probably be easier, and cheaper, than seeing another doctor.
My guess is that you need 7-14 days of the cipro since the infection has progressed beyond the minimal stages.

Good luck! Hope this helps!

I had something similar... it's possible to have a viral kidney infection instead of a bacterial one, and if it IS viral then Cipro as an antibiotic won't do anything for it. Tell your doctor to check you for a viral infection. Also, have them check you for spinal meningitis because the neck pain is not a good sign, and Meningitis might be responisble for the kidney troubles too.

Out of curiosity, what is your connective tissue disease? Lupus sufferers often have difficulties with their kidneys.
